Day Zero

The Mission:
Complete 101 preset tasks in 1001 days

The Criteria:
Tasks must be specific (i.e. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (i.e. represent some amount of effort on your part).

The Tasks:
  1. Set up an emergency fund of at least $500 and maintain it
  2. Put at least 10% of each paycheck into savings account
  3. Apply to graduate schools
  4. Apply to AmerCorps NCCC program
  5. Read War and Peace
  6. Watch all movies that have won the Academy Award for Best Picture (12/84)
  7. Watch all of the movies on AFI's 100 Years...100 Movies (10th Anniversary Edition) list (25/100)
  8. Travel to Europe
  9. Get a DSLR
  10. Take a photography course
  11. Apply for the San Pietro Travel Prize (Completed 2/27/2009)
  12. Try out Postcrossing by sending 10 postcards (10/10) (Completed 4/4/2009)
  13. Knit a wallet
  14. Try vegetarianism for a month
  15. Complete the One Hundred Push-Ups Program successfully (i.e. stick with it until I can do 100 push-ups, not just for six weeks)
  16. Get re-certified in CPR and First Aid
  17. Participate in NaNoWriMo
  18. End a year with a higher net worth than I started it with
